Dining Out During COVID-19: Take a Break with Eating-Out

The COVID-19 pandemic has really changed the restaurant life. Many have closed while some, like the Old European, have continued to serve the community. With Idaho relaxing some of the restrictions, we’re happy to have our community back inside our dining room. While it isn’t the same as coming in and dining with friends or family like it was a few months ago, it is still a break from the constant cooking many people aren’t used to doing.

Not to say families across our community don’t cook but, after working a long day or wanting to spend time with loved ones, going out to eat was no longer an option. COVID has really changed our daily lives. That shouldn’t stop you from enjoying all that is still available in a new way. With social distancing and some new parts to the outfit, we can return to enjoying all the traditional European food you’ve come to love.

Let’s talk about why ordering curb-side and social distance dining is still a good idea for family or friend time during this unfortunate crisis and that it’s still The Old European, even when eating it at home or served with some distance.

COVID-19 and Small Business

It’s a desperate time for many small businesses, mom and pop shops that make our community what it is and help our local economy thrive. It’s important for all of us to stick together as best we can and continue to support each other. When a business has an option to continue to pay its employees and provide for its community, it’s good to keep on with patronage when able, even if it’s not the same experience you love about them. It’s important to make sure that things you love survive to enjoy again.

We continue to provide traditional European food, respect the shuttering-in, and social distancing. We also want to keep the community we serve safe and not without all the delicious menu items provided at the Old European.

A Break from Cooking

We all need a break from cooking, especially when going out to eat isn’t an option. Well, not as much an option as it was. Seems that many people think differently when ordering out for a sit-down restaurant or a new way of being served rather than a more traditional fast-food joint. While there are many differences, the quality of the dine-in restaurant doesn’t change, just the delivery does.

Half the point of going out to eat is to be served, not to worry about cooking for your loved ones or cleaning up after them. That aspect hasn’t changed during COVID and The Old European. We still provide a taste of the old country and keep European cuisine alive at each of our locations.

High-quality European food delivered to your car or with a little contact as possible in the dining room rather than a quick bite is still an option. While we can no longer host you in the dining room in the same way as we once did, you can still get a taste of European countries without spending the day in the kitchen.

Reliving the Restaurant

No one likes diving into foods that they know were delivered on nice plates and are now in take-out containers but, that’s the COVID era. Now that the quarantine has lightened and we can welcome you back inside, with some restrictions, of course, we can relive the restaurant and get back to serving all the foods you love.

We all miss dining out and we miss seeing our neighbors in the dining room. So, if you’re craving the restaurant experience or a nice sit-down meal without the cooking, give us a call for your favorite Old European foods. Fancy up and celebrate still having many of the things you love while being safe and healthy.

Old European is Here

The Old European is committed to continuing to serve the best traditional food from around the European continent. We’re proud to serve the communities that we’ve cooked in and don’t want to stop offering all the town’s favorites. We’re not going anywhere.

So, spice up your lunches and breakfast with buckwheat pancakes or Irish potato and bacon soup. Break out the fancy china for traditional lentil soup or a Black Russian sandwich. You can still travel the European continent from the convenience of your home or pop in to have a socially distant dinner until we can welcome you back into our dining room the way we used to.

Until then, stay safe. Be healthy. Keep eating all the dishes you love, here at The Old European.
